OATS AND GRITS:
INGREDIENTS:
For Oats:
1 cup steel cut oats
2 tablespoon palm sugar
1 pinch of salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
½ cup cream
1.5 cups water
For Grits:
½ cup stone ground grits
1 pinch of salt
1 chunk of cheddar cheese
1 cup cream
1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Take all ingredients for Oats in an ekovana pan and mix well.
- Take all ingredients listed for grits to the second ekovana pan and mix well.
- Stack the pans with oats on the bottom and grits on top.
- Add 1 cups water to the pressure cooker main pot.
- Places the stacked ekovana pans inside the pressure cooker using the easy lift handles.
- To the pressure cooker main pot add 1.5 cups water, lower the stacked pans and close the pressure cooker and set vent in sealing position.
- Cook on manual/ high for 10 mins and allow the pressure to release naturally.
- Remove stacked pans. Open the pans and mix the contents. Creamy Oats and grits are perfectly cooked.
- Garnish with toppings of your choice. Oats and grits ready for your breakfast!
